About VHC
A veterinary facility designed to feel more at ease
VHC’s Springfield home brings clinicians and other holistic veterinary professionals together under one roof in a nature-inspired, animal-friendly setting.
whole-pet care, thoughtfully coordinated
Opened in 2015
Practical clinical space with a family-room feeling
The renovated facility includes six exam rooms, a 1,600-square-foot training room, dedicated space for an underwater treadmill, and a small retail area. The environment was planned to be animal-friendly while helping human clients and their pets feel comfortable.
The five elements
A palette chosen with intention
The current VHC facility page explains that finishes and paint colors were selected to represent nature and the elements of Chinese medicine and holistic-care philosophies: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.
The descriptions at right clarify how the existing website palette carries that documented visual connection. They do not add medical claims.
Wood+
Nature, growth, and the vivid green already present in the VHC identity.
Fire+
Warmth and energy represented through the familiar brick-red accent.
Earth+
Grounded ochre and natural finishes that contribute to the relaxed atmosphere.
Metal+
The neutral grays that structure the palette and balance brighter elements.
Water+
Muted blue-gray tones that add calm contrast and connect to movement and flow.
